Big Meal Share

May 2022 - Present

Big Meal Share is a web-app to help users organize and host dinner parties. It provides features such as an attendance list, past meal reviews, and a guest RSVP system. It is singlehandedly designed and developed by moi using tools like Webflow, Airtable, and Make. Currently, it's undergoing beta testing with a small group of users in order to gather feedback and make improvements before it is made available to a wider audience.

Website Designer & Developer

Adventure Mate

Dec 2021 - Jan 2022

As a freelancer, I created a new e-commerce website for Adventure Mate, a company that sells outdoor adventure tools. My responsibilities included designing and developing a responsive website, implementing inventory management and sales funnel features, and using branding, marketing, and analytics tools. I also played a key role in producing product photography and videography for the website and social media marketing.

UX Lead

345 Global

Jan 2020 - Oct 2021

As the User Experience Lead, I was responsible for designing the user flow and interface for a range of mixed reality products developed by 345, a company that aims to revolutionize product and marketing placement in supermarkets. Working closely with the creative director, I created multiple prototypes for B2B web, mobile, and VR products and collaborated with developers to bring them to life. Through this role, I gained valuable industry experience and honed my prototyping skills. I also played a significant role in developing and implementing a company-wide design system.

Product Manager

345 Global

May 2021 - Oct 2021

I was asked to relocate to the United States to work with 345's major client and assist in setting up their technology lab and integrating our software into their company. This involved training their employees on how to use our technology suite, gathering important user feedback, and presenting demonstrations of our software to the company's executive team. This experience allowed me to work closely with both a startup and a multi-billion dollar FMCG company, and provided the opportunity to demonstrate my professional skills in a variety of contexts.

About

My life outside work

Mt. Everest Summit

In 2014 I attempted to be the youngest Australian to summit Mt. Everest. The trip was funded by sponsorships which I had negotiated, however there was a tragic avalanche and we were forced to abandon the climb. Four years later, with more mountaineering experience, fitness and determination I returned to finish what we had started. After months of bitter cold, little oxygen & harsh conditions Ang Dawa Sherpa and I successfully summited the highest mountain on the planet and stood on the top of the world.

To support local sherpa families of the region I initiated two charity fundraisers for the Australian Himalayan Foundation and in total raised over $16,000 (More info in the Charity tab above.)

Mongol Rally

Alongside some of my best friends we took part in the infamous Mongol Rally. The challenge comprised of buying a car for less than £1000 and driving it from London to Central Mongolia. This was one epic challenge, which really tested our travel etiquette, navigation, mechanical abilities, and even friendship at times. We gained a beautiful insight to a wide variety of different cultures.

We wanted to use our journey as a tool to raise awareness for a greater cause. As a team we were able to raise over $12,000 for Mission Australia thank to the generous donations for family, friends and colleagues (More info about this in the Charity tab above.)

Manaslu Summit

In preparation for Mt. Everest I embarked on an expedition to summit Mt. Manaslu (8163m) making it the 8th highest mountain in the world. Being my first 8000+ meter mountain, this was an incredible challenge. After weeks on the mountain of slow acclimatisation, very cold nights, many long days of hearth-throbbing climbing we successfully made it to the top.

This climb taught me the power of patience, that slow and steady progress can amount to an incredible result. What I love most about climbing is that it's not a competition with anybody else, rather it's an expression of the ability to overcome internal doubts and uncertainties.
